In April 2009, Symposium: The Executive Series had its inaugural year at SCAA's 21st Annual Exposition in Atlanta, Georgia. By all accounts, the event was a resounding success. With over 200 attendees and a stellar line-up of speakers, the first annual Symposium ushered in a new era of the specialty coffee industry, providing executives and leaders in the industry for a forum to engage in a higher-level dialogue about larger issues and the global implications of the coffee trade.   And that important discussion continues, at the event this year, as well as throughout the year through the Symposium Community.
